Project Plan
The Conceptual One is a production I worked on for Visual Effects Production at Swinburne University. Despite being my first experience with volumetric captures and, subsequently, DepthKit, I am very proud of how this assignment turned out. I was primarily the Unity developer/engineer. I processed our volumetric performances into Unity alongside our environment, created visual effects, timed animations and rendered the sequences as videos that would be used in post-production editing.
The premise of The Conceptual One focused on how humans process creativity from an idea to a final product. This was the most fun I've had working on a project, as experimenting in Unity with various features like Cinemachine and Visual Effect Graphs was satisfying from start to end, even if the process was time-consuming. I can't believe how much I learned within the ten weeks I spent on this project, and I can't wait to use what I've learned in other upcoming projects.
